Oh, how we’ve waited for this day. We will be reading from a list of books that are either written by Deaf authors, have Deaf characters or address Deafness in the book. Join us at Watermark Books on June 19 and July 17 from 10-11:30 am to share what you think about these books. We will be posting here and emailing our DeafKAN families a list of books that we’ll be discussing. Read one, a few, or all of them!
Old Town Farmer’s Market-FREE!
We are at it again for the fourth year in a row! We will be at the Old Town Farmer’s Market on the 1st Saturday of the month for four months. Come see us from 7am to Noon to practice your ASL and make a free art project with us. Joining us again this summer is Josh Tripoli, mural art genius for our Community Canvas Project. We have blank canvases prepared for you to add your special touch. After we are finished, Josh adds his magic and together we’ve made a masterpiece!
When we will be there:
The Market opens at 7am and closes at Noon. Gumby, our “unofficial” mascot will be there the rest of the season. Come see our deaf-blind canine friend!
